Elizabeth I, Queen

Hello!  I'm new on here.

I've idolised Elizabeth all my life, have tonnes of books and things on the Tudors ... but have only just realised they're now popular on the net too.  Woohoo!

I've thrown myself in at the deep end role playing Elizabeth on Twitter and a new RPG forum so I could do with all the extra insight I could get.

And if anyone wants to come join the role playing then please do.  I am in desperate need of courtiers as I'm outnumbered by Henry's wives and fiercely hounded by the Queen of Scots.

I've watched so many films and TV programmes on Elizabeth I couldn't really pick a favourite.  I can never decided whether Robert Dudley truly loved Elizabeth or whether part of it was him craving her power... though I like to think he really loved her.  And oh, gosh, so many thoughts I don't know where to start!

Oooh, and there's a brand new Elizabeth website just been launched by the creator of The Anne Boleyn Files:

Hey there, I'm a roleplayer too, what forum are you on? Sounds interesting!

A book I came across that would probably be *really* handy for someone RPing Bess herself; I myself have used it for tips on roleplaying good leaders; is actually a business guide called "Elizabeth CEO: Strategic Lessons from the Leader Who Built an Empire" by Alan Axelrod.

I found it in a second hand bookstore and it rarely leaves my backpack, and from the look of it there are a fair few cheap copies on Amazon. Hope that helps!

Oooh, that book sounds fabulous, I'll hunt down a copy, thanks!

I role play on the new "Undead Royals" forum:

We're all very much the same crowd that role plays on Twitter so it's very friendly and fun. :)
